Our Journey began in 2009 when our founder Nilanka Nanayakkara decided to act on a long-brewing passion of introducing premium Teas to Australia.
Nilanka is a fourth Generation member of the world famous “Ceylon Tea” industry. It has been over 10 years since the inception of the Ceylon Blends story, but as Nilanka explains, it is merely the first chapter of exciting times to come;
“…Yes, the Tea industry in Australia is full of different blends, flavours, beautiful packaging, brand marketing and websites, but the industry has a long way to go when it comes to pure quality of the product. Therefore it is high time that someone decided to introduce Authentic Premium Tea to Australia. Our aim is clear and simple, to give our customers a fresh and premium product direct from some of the finest estates in the world. Quality of the product and the service will always be our primary focus."
In such a short period we are proud to have secured the patronage of some of Australia’s most premium Cafes, Restaurants and Tea connoisseurs, and it is extremely gratifying and encouraging to receive such positive feedback from these establishments, but I believe we still have a long journey ahead of us to entrench the Australian market.
